Le Parfait Super Jars with Wire-Bail Clamp Lid
The French preserving jar, made by Le Parfait since 1930. A stainless wire bail clamps the glass lid onto a rubber gasket, which seals under pressure as the contents cool and releases cleanly when you lift the bail. There is no disposable flat lid to buy again next season.
They are built for canning, which is what they do best: apple butter, jam, pickles, stock, confit. They are equally at home holding flour, rice, or dried beans on an open shelf, where the shape earns its place.
Sizes and sets
- 250ml (8oz), 500ml (16oz), 750ml (24oz), and 1L (32oz) in sets of 4 or 6
- 1.5L (48oz), 2L (64oz), and 3L (96oz) in sets of 3
Choosing a size
250ml suits jams, curds, and apple butter given as gifts. 500ml and 750ml cover most preserving. 1L and up are for stock, pickles in quantity, and dry pantry storage.
Gaskets are a wearing part and should be replaced when they lose their spring.
