Handmade Dark Stoneware Bowl Pumpernickel

Each of these stoneware bowls is hand-thrown and glazed in a dark pumpernickel finish between black, grey, and brown, so no two pieces match exactly. The exterior stays rough while the interior is smooth glazed, a finish that reads handmade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is each bowl exactly the same?
No, each piece is hand-thrown and individually glazed, so the dark pumpernickel finish varies slightly from bowl to bowl, and no two match exactly, which is part of the appeal of buying a genuinely handmade piece rather than a mass-produced one.

How long does shipping take?
Bowls are made to order in a small studio in Ukraine and typically take 1 to 4 weeks to arrive, though a piece already sitting in the US warehouse ships from there instead, so delivery time can vary a bit.

Is it safe for the dishwasher and microwave?
Yes, it is both dishwasher and microwave safe, and finished with a food-safe, lead-free glaze, so it holds up to regular daily use in a busy kitchen without any special hand washing or extra care routine required afterward each time.

What size is the bowl?
It measures 2.95 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter, sized for serving, cereal, or soup rather than large family-style portions, closer to a personal single-serving bowl than a shared serving dish meant for passing around a full table of guests.

Does this purchase support anything beyond the product itself?
Yes, part of each sale supports Ukrainian refugees, so buying this bowl carries that contribution alongside the handmade piece itself, tying the purchase directly back to the small pottery studio in Ukraine where every bowl is individually thrown by hand.
