A hand forged wok in wrought iron, hammered rather than pressed, with no coating on it. Uncoated iron is the point: it takes and holds the high heat that stir-frying depends on, and it builds a natural non stick surface as you cook on it. A coated pan cannot do either.
The bowl is 11cm deep, enough to toss without throwing food onto the burner, and the base is flat and non slip so it sits steady on the hob rather than rocking.

Seasoning
Wash, dry over heat, then wipe a thin film of oil across the surface and heat until it stops smoking. Repeat a few times before first use. Dry it on the burner after every wash and it will darken and improve for years.
